Oryan Yohanan

 

Born in Jerusalem 1985, graduated from The Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance High School 2003. Won the first prize at the "Mia Arbatova Ballet Competition 2002".

Danced in Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC 2006-2010) as principal dancer. Artistic director Rami Be'er. In 2010-2011 she danced in "The Project" company of the Israeli Opera House and Suzanne Dellal as main dancer, pieces by- William Forsythe, Emanuel Gat, Jacopo Godani, Marco Goecke, Idan Sharabi and Yoram Karmi.

Since 2011 Oryan work's as freelance dancer with choreographers such as- Sahar Azimi, Idit Herman and Clipa Theatre, Gili Navot, Shlomi Bitton, Dafi Altbeb, Sharon Vaisvaser, Maya Yogel, Elad Shecter, Yoni Soutchy and more.

As choreographer Oryan created the pieces- "Missis" (2007), "Sea- Land" (2013), "The War Room" (2013) and "No Blood Relation.ever" (2014).

Oryan is a multi-disciplinary artist, improvisation performer and rehearsal manager. Teaches Ballet, contemporary, floor work and repertoire to Schools such as- Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance High School, Thelma Yellin School of Arts, Yoram Loewenstein Acting School, Bikurey Haetim and more.

Sahar Azimi


Dancer, choreographer, singer, curator / artistic director

worked  with the Bat Sheva Ensemble, Clipa Theater, Inbal dance theater, Barak Marshall Dance Company and with the choreographers Emanuel Gat, Noa Dar, Ronit Ziv and others.

Sahar has received several awards such as Minister of Education and Culture Prize for young choreographers in 2005. Sahar initiated the successful project: Dance Classes for Professional Dancers in Jerusalem . He is also chosen to be one of the artistic directors of 'Curtain Up' Festival 2010/11.

Sahar  is a teacher in the Academy of music and dance in Jerusalem as well as the artistic director of the Ensemble of the academy

Sahar's works are invited to many festivals in the world such as MONACO DANCE FORUM,UZES DANCE - France, SZIGET - Hungary, Germany, Brazil, Japan, Switzerland, Croatia,  Italy and more...

in 2009 Sahar created the piece UTF8 for the ZPA dance company in Zagreb.

In January-May 2012 Sahar is invited as a resident artist in the University of Illinois supported by the Shusterman fund.  

Artistic director of “Zirat Machol festival 2013-2015” in the Jerusalem Art Arena.
